Overview

The Don’t Invite COVID campaign is a project of Lane Transit District and community partners, focused on keeping Lane County safe during the pandemic.

The campaign features a badly behaved COVID character causing havoc in various scenarios. It doesn’t wear a mask or wash its hands, and it always wants to be near you. It’s the big germ you love to hate. To keep COVID away, our call to action is to Follow the Four: Stay six feet apart, wear a mask, wash your hands and avoid large gatherings.

Each month, we will feature COVID in a different situation. LTD and community partners will share visuals and messaging on their digital communication channels. Tips on how to Follow the Four will be listed on the associated landing page on this website.

With generous donations from local media partners, you will also see and hear the campaign on buses, billboards, TV and radio.

Why?

Our case numbers are rising, and experts say this winter will be the worst we’ve seen. The Don’t Invite COVID campaign is meant to cut through the clutter, overcome the fatigue and collectively share the same message, so that we can reduce the number of COVID-19 cases in our community.
